Role Description:

The Scientist / Senior Scientist will work within the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) group to assist in the optimization of lead peptide molecules for our targeted radiotherapeutics platform. Key contributions will include expanding our understanding of metabolic stability, pharmacokinetic profiling, and biodistribution in preclinical species. Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will include 1) invitro metabolic stability assay execution and 2) bioanalysis method development and quantitation.


  • BS/MS in pharmacokinetics, biotechnology, biological sciences, chemistry, or related field, preferably related to DMPK and drug development
  • 2-5 years of biopharmaceutical research experience in drug development and/or translational research (Scientist level)


  • Foundational understanding of ADME/PK with emphasis on drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and dependence on physiochemical drug properties
  • Strong technical background in planning, designing, and executing both in vitro and pre-clinical in vivo experiments. Emphasis on in vitro and bioanalysis.
  • Track record developing and implementing in vitro metabolic stability experiments
  • Hands-on experience and strong troubleshooting abilities with regards to LC-MS/MS instrumentation and bioanalysis
    • Desired expertise in the following techniques and instrumentation:
      • LC-MS/MS multiple reaction monitoring experiments
      • High resolution MS structural elucidation, metabolite identification
      • Bioanalytical method development and qualification
      • Complex matrix cleanup techniques including SPE, ionic exchange, protein precipitation, phospholipid removal
      • Common analytical chemistry best practices
  • Design and lead experimental work from early discovery to candidate selection using a variety of bioanalytical methods
  • Background in authoring and reviewing protocols, study reports
  • Drive to develop as a DMPK subject matter expert with ability to relate findings to cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build a culture of data-driven decision making to bring novel therapies to the clinic
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with other R&D team members and external collaborators to progress development candidate compounds
  • Demonstrates high standards for scientific rigor, team behaviors, excellence and building a culture of innovation that is fully aligned with company objectives
  • Demonstrated tenacity and drive for enterprise benefit
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in peptide and/or radiopharmaceuticals research
  • Working with CROs and/or external collaboration
  • Pharmacokinetic analysis software use and PK modeling
  • Sciex family of LCMS instruments and software
  • Surface Plasmon Resonance or Biolayer Interferometry
    • Biacore instrumentation and software
